Neurodevotion

When the rain outside pitter patters
I stare beyond the horizon towards a clear space inside my head
My eyes are perched half heartedly between an inner reality and the external trees in the distance
My vision is so out of focus that my mind is suspended in mid air
I am mesmerised so that I cannot break the stare
My thoughts have been quietened by the loud rain droplets that compete for my attention
And yet my eyes remain fixed
In a wondrous place
My mind resting in an unknown state for a few moments in time
A true calmness that is the space between
The space between reality and something beyond.
Wondrous description!
